Questions people actually ask.
The short answers — with the long ones one tap away.
How do I convert meters to feet?+
Multiply the number of meters by 3.280839895 to get feet. In this tool, just set Convert from to Meter and Convert to to Foot, or tap the 1 M → FT quick-conversion chip.
What is the exact conversion factor between inches and centimeters?+
One international inch is defined as exactly 2.54 centimeters. This tool uses that exact figure, along with the equally precise standard factors for feet, yards, and miles, so results are accurate rather than rounded estimates.
What's the difference between a mile and a nautical mile?+
A statute mile equals 1,609.344 meters, or 5,280 feet. A nautical mile equals exactly 1,852 meters and is used in marine and aviation navigation. This tool lists both separately to avoid confusion.
Can I see a value converted into every unit at once?+
Yes. Tap Show advanced under Advanced options and the results panel will display a full table converting your entered value into every supported unit at the same time.
Can I change how many decimal places are shown?+
Yes. Open Advanced options and choose a decimal precision from 0 to 8 places. It applies to both the main result and the full conversion table.
Is this length converter free, and does it work offline once loaded?+
It's completely free with no account or sign-up. All the math runs directly in your browser using fixed conversion factors — no data is sent anywhere, and no external service is called to perform a conversion.
