Enter a temperature, pick your scales.
Type a temperature, choose where it's converting from and to, and get an exact result — with an advanced mode for full precision control and a complete scale table.
Applies to the main result and the full scale table below.
Three fields, one result.
No manual required — here's the entire flow.
Enter your value
Type the temperature you want to convert into the value field. The tool starts you off with a value of 0.
Pick your scales
Choose the scale you're converting from and the scale you want, or tap ⇅ to instantly swap the two.
Hit convert
Tap Convert and the exact result appears immediately in the results panel, right beside the tool.
Go further
Open Advanced options to adjust decimal precision or view your value converted into every supported scale at once.
Four scales, exact formulas, full control.
Every conversion uses fixed, standard-defined formulas — never rough estimates.
Common scales
The two most widely used temperature scales for everyday weather, cooking, and science.
Absolute scales
Absolute temperature scales starting at absolute zero. Kelvin uses Celsius-sized degrees; Rankine uses Fahrenheit-sized degrees.
Advanced controls
Adjust decimal precision from 0–8 places, swap scales in one tap, or view every conversion side by side.
Questions people actually ask.
The short answers — with the long ones one tap away.
How do I convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?+
Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5 (or 1.8) and then add 32. The formula is: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32. In this tool, set Convert from to Celsius and Convert to to Fahrenheit, or tap the 0°C → °F quick-conversion chip.
How do I convert Fahrenheit to Celsius?+
Subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature and then multiply by 5/9. The formula is: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. This tool uses that exact formula for accurate results.
What is the difference between Kelvin and Rankine?+
Both are absolute temperature scales starting at absolute zero. Kelvin uses the Celsius degree size (1 K = 1 °C), while Rankine uses the Fahrenheit degree size (1 °R = 1 °F). The conversion is: °R = K × 9/5.
Can I see a temperature converted into all scales at once?+
Yes. Tap Show advanced under Advanced options and the results panel will display a full table converting your entered value into every supported scale at the same time.
Can I change how many decimal places are shown?+
Yes. Open Advanced options and choose a decimal precision from 0 to 8 places. It applies to both the main result and the full conversion table.
Does this tool handle negative temperatures?+
Absolutely. Negative temperatures in Celsius and Fahrenheit are fully supported. The tool will also convert to Kelvin and Rankine, which are always positive for physically valid temperatures (above absolute zero).
